Split a bill online, no signup, no app to install.
Enter the bill and the people. The shares add up to the rupee, and nothing you type leaves this page.
No account, because none is needed.
A calculator this small does not need a login, a saved history, or a mobile app. Enter a bill, split it, copy the link if you want to send it on. That is the whole tool.
For splitting further than one bill, an entire shared flat, an ongoing trip, that is what Spendthrift itself does: the same arithmetic, with a budget attached to it. For a whole flat's monthly expenses, see split expenses; for rent specifically, see the split rent app.
Questions.
Is this split bill calculator free?
Yes, and it stays free. Splitting a bill never requires an account or a payment.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes, once the page has loaded. All the arithmetic runs in your browser.
Can I share the result with the group?
Yes. Copy the link after entering the split and send it on. It carries the bill and the names, nothing else.
How are the rupee amounts rounded?
By the largest-remainder method, so shares round to the nearest rupee, or paisa if you enter decimals, and the total always matches exactly.
Where a group goes after this one bill.
Three things this page describes but cannot show
A group that works before anyone has installed anything, a link with no signup, and leaving a group while keeping your own record.
The group works before anyone installs.
Five at a table, one with the app. The bill splits five ways at the moment it happens and nobody is asked to download anything.
A link, and nothing to sign up for.
Send a link however you already talk to them. It opens in a browser with no app, no account and no password, showing the same numbers.
Leave, and take the record with you.
Every expense, share and settlement exports to a file that opens anywhere and needs no account. Names are left out by default.
